Patrice Layre was born in Alès in 1963
He started painting in 1985.
It was through contact with the painter Auguste BLANC, his grandfather, that he felt a strong emotion for painting from a very young age.
In his fine, precise touches, he slips denser, more intense moments.
His works, all half-tone transparencies, are lit up with joyful touches. He interprets reality, and shows a subtle side, playing with shapes and sometimes daring colors. Emotion is always present in his watercolors.
