ABSTRACTION 1ST PLACE WINNER

This artwork was a personal exercise of exploring the freedom of movement, the beauty of physics, and unity between computer-generated precision with human-intuitive motions. I’m guided by a strong desire to push the boundaries of conventional painting techniques in a world where Ai is rapidly gaining ability to potentially trivialize the effort of handmade works, so this piece really tries to explore and revitalize the human spirit by capturing the essence of what makes humans drawn to organic work. "Beyond the Algorithms" was the statement piece to my first ever art exhibition, aptly titled "Beyond the Algorithms" which took place in London, UK on September 14th, 2023. Similar to the idea of a Dyson Sphere, this entity boasts a powerful energy core encased by a whipping, grounded megastructure. This piece challenged me to create a surrealistic but coherent world of paint splashes, stretches, arrows, translucent glass forms, and a light refractions.
