This Mercedes AMG 300 is a very famous race car as it finished 2nd place in the 24 Hours of Spa in 1971 (something that no one thought it could do). It is really a story of not listening to the doubters, and just going with your gut. I love those underdog stories, don’t you? Many racing enthusiasts love this car and what she represents. She was a challenge to paint, but I’m really happy with how she turned out. I am honored that this painting was a finalist in the Art Renewal Center Exhibition, and a finalist in the Kessler Collection Next Original Competition that was displayed on a jumbo screen in Times Square NYC on 1/1/23.
