ABSTRACTION NOMINEE

I present the second artwork of my file for the Luxembourg Art Prize 2024 on the inspiration of the short movie: “Strange Way of Life - Extraña Forma de Vida” by Pedro Almodóvar with Ethan Hawke as "Jake" and Pedro Pascal as "Silva". It's my transcription of the feelings of my two men. I had done before a first diptych with the portrait of the two characters and in the follow of my work, I decided to give my vision of the relationship between the 2 men. I try to provide the energy of the two men, the blue for Jake and the red for Silva. In the scene I had chosen: Jake wore a blue shirt to keep the link I used this color because it emerged something cold, hard, and possessive with this character. In adequacy for Silva who wore a red shirt, I used this color for a transcription of his warmth, his passion, and his impulsiveness. The columns of gold are the connexion of the feelings of the two men and always the link between all my artwork in the movie
